When Words Get in the Way

THEY say actions speak louder than words. But some says actions are meaningless without words.
And others say actions plus words make feelings more complete, understood and revealed.

You and your loved one used to have many ways to express how you love and care for each other.
Some through explicit actions like hugs, kisses, tap on the shoulder, touch on the hair, or maybe just by placing your hand next to the one you love.

Everything seems so right when "expression of love" comes to the scene.
A smile, a wink of an eye, a simple stare, a stolen glance, a flower, a love letter, a text message, or even a simple quote means a lot to the receiver. What else do we have to expect? Everything's in proper place when people are in-love, and the love feels so deep.

The 3 simple words-I LOVE YOU become very powerful words then, in the universe.

But when two people find difficulty in expressing their feelings, that's where the confusion begins..the rivalry between words and actions unravels; so it's up to the couple to understand the actions being done and read between the lines from the words being thrown.

And this is sometimes so hard to fathom.

They say love should be understood by heart not by mind. But what is felt by the heart is taken graciously to the mind. Because the mind dictates what the heart feels. And it signaled the most important command-- that is to feel what the heart should feel and do what our body should  act on.

So the bottom line is: There is still a link between the two--words and actions.

But what about actions alone. Is it  not enough to express how we feel?
How about words alone. Is it not enough way to make our feelings clear?

I will tell you a story.

My friend  tells me of how she's being moved by her lover's way of endearment. He calls her MINE (in replacement of the name) to simply express his love and sense of ownership to her as girlfriend. And so does she. They don't have a perfect relationship, but they do work things out. They often hug each other, kiss each other, talk to each other but what really binds them more is their way of needing each other.

They don't see each other often, that's why they use text messaging to keep each other connected. What is so sweet with the two is the fact that their way to make one know that he/she is badly needed or being missed is simply through texting his/her name..just the name, no more words added.

He will just text the word "mine"... and then the girl already knows that she's needed... that he wants to connect... that he misses her so much. Even in the middle of their fight, when the girl calls him "mine" his heart melts like ice cream placed under the sun. And there is no more fight.

The word here represented by the name apparently becomes a sword, a weapon that can hit anyone with its edge. It becomes very sharp. It becomes very powerful that it hits the heart.

THE name is not just a typical word then. It becomes an expression of love, an extension of love and a connection to what their hearts really feel. It becomes a password to his/ her heart and allows love to come out and be realized. A word is no longer a word with a vocabulary meaning, but a word that defies all. A word which leads us to understand our passion and weakness. A word that connects us to what we feel inside within.Words alone can move us instantly to feel what we want to feel, thus making us free to express that feeling through the best actions we can ever declare.

Here is a proof that WORDS alone can get in the way to feel that fire which we call LOVE.
